About
We write the prose, not the poetry.
The argument
Same mechanism. Different mediator.
A person almost never meets a business directly. Something sits in between and decides whether they hear about it. That something has been, in order: other people, phone books, search engines, review sites, social feeds, marketplaces. Now, increasingly, it is an AI that answers in prose and names three companies.
SEO is a discovery mechanism applied to search engines. GEO is the same mechanism applied to language models. Same mechanism, different mediator class — not a new system.
That sentence is why this company exists and why it is built the way it is. A great many agencies appeared in 2026 selling “GEO” as a brand new discipline with a brand new playbook. They are selling a mediator. When the mediator changes again, and it will, they rebuild. We treat the mediator as the variable it has always been.
The name
Two meanings, both real
Proses, in Malay, means process. Not a project, which is bounded and finishable, and not “operations,” which is generic. A process: repeatable, run again and again, refined each time. The process itself is the asset.
Prose, in English, is plain working language as opposed to poetry’s performance. The name argues for itself — the plain version over the impressive one.
Being honest about it, since we ask that of everything else on this site: “proses” as a plural of “prose” is linguistically soft. Prose is usually uncountable. The resonance is real; the grammar claim isn’t one we’d push.
The etymology lands in the same place. Process comes from Latin procedere — pro- forward, cedere to go. A going forward. It has never meant a thing you finish.
Proof
What we can actually show you
proses is new. It does not have a decade of logos and it is not going to borrow any. Here is the whole list, in order of how much weight it deserves.
1. Our own visibility
We ran the Gap Read against proses itself and kept the dated “before” captures from before this site existed. It’s the one case study nobody can dispute, because you can re-run it.
2. Marketplace search
Years of Etsy and eRank work — ranking inside a search engine you don’t control, against a ranking model you can only infer from data. That is structurally the same problem as this one.
3. The findings
A corpus of 514 dated captures across 14 companies and two engines, with confirmed findings we can show you anonymised.
Things you won’t find here: invented clients, borrowed metrics, a case study that didn’t happen, or a testimonial nobody gave. The skills transfer to Shopify stores and we’re happy to work on one. We haven’t yet, and we’re not going to imply otherwise.
How it works
No junior researchers. The person you talk to is the person who does the work.
proses is one person. That is a real constraint and it comes with a real advantage: nothing gets handed to an account manager, nothing gets rewritten by someone who wasn’t in the room, and there is no incentive to scope work that isn’t needed to fill a bench.
There’s an operating framework behind all of this — a diagnostic that covers eight parts of a business, not just this one. It isn’t on this website on purpose. Nobody buys an operating system. It shows up in the work, in the order things get done, and in the reason a recommendation is the one you get.

It’s free, it’s one page, and it takes one email to ask for.
